Voter suppression could stop 5 million voters from being able to vote in 2012.  The republicans and the rest of the right-winger’s are passing laws in many states that are absolutely unfair.  These new laws which are now in effect in states like FL, TX, PA, Iowa, South Carolina and 7 of other states totaling 12 are going to hit the people who lean towards voting for the democrats, the elderly, poor and the young college students who showed up big time at the polls for President Obama in 2008.  It’s clear to the electorate that the republicans can’t win fair and square so they must resort to such tactics like this in order to stand a chance of beating Barack Obama for the big seat.  The reality is they’re beating themselves and embarrassing themselves on a daily basis and the electorate is seeing this very clearly.

Some examples of these “Voter suppression" laws are, no early voting, no Sunday voting and other ridiculous laws, The “League of Women’s Voters” organization, who provided transportation and registration to elder women, disabled women etc. had to pack it in due to the new laws that are not transparent at all, 2 teachers already got in some trouble over registering their students, it’s just another example of the attack on the middle class. They purposely make these laws very confusing to try to scare people out of going through the trouble to learn about the laws and what it will take for them to have the proper identifications needed to be able to vote without being turned away.  Every day a child is born that child receives a Social Security number, why can’t they tie the two together.  Social Security is a database of numbers that connects to all of us who have proven we are American citizens; they should distribute a voter identification number at the time of birth that will be that person’s permanent voter id # until death.  Sounds easy right?  Because it is!  The only problem is then the republicans would lose and lose big.  There was a woman 94 years of age that was on Politics Nation with the Rev. Al Sharpton who voted for 70 years in a row without a problem, she’s an African American woman who went through the Jim Crow and MLK days, her husband was beaten once at an equality march but she hasn’t had a problem voting until this year,  thanks to people who still have hearts in this Country and are going to see to it that she is all set and registered she will be voting again this year,  but if her story wasn’t featured with the Rev. Al she would of accepted defeat and this is no time to accept defeat, especially against a bunch of extremists who want our Country to take a nosedive. 

 As of today legislation has been introduced in 30 states, 14 of these states have enacted new laws, out of these 14 states where new laws have been enacted there is a total of 5 million eligible voters, that makes 171 electoral votes that are in play, this is 63% of the 270 electoral votes needed for the presidency, if this is not the main battle for the 2012 campaign I don’t know what is!!!  We the people need to spread the word of the republican’s games, games they’re playing with real people’s lives!  Their main defense for these new laws is to insure there are no fraudulent voters, people who vote twice etc.  Here’s a number for you, out of millions and millions of votes, .0003 were fraudulent, I mean that is just a ridiculous stat, we’re all learning more and more everyday that the republican’s truly have no heart, they just don’t care and this is the reason President Barack Obama will be with us for another 4 years!  The introduction to these radical new laws has actually been going on for quite a few years now and the republicans have, like Mike Papantonio says, “stacked the courts with republican judges”, these judges will actually be able to stand by the “1965 Voters Rights Act” which barely has any teeth.  These judges will act exactly like whom they are, REPUBLICANS and they’ll have the power to dismiss cases, schedule cases in a manner to give them an advantage, basically act in an unfair manner and get away with it, for now at least.

Even though Eric Holder has finally stepped up, it could be too little, too late.  Eleven months is just not enough time to overturn these radical laws, he might have acted in time to stop any new laws from being enacted but what’s already done must go through the courts and I believe this will be after the damage is done, after the election. The democrats were all over Eric Holder 3 years ago about this but he has done nothing until now.  Remember, the republicans lined the courts with republican judges so the judges are going to make sure the court hearings will be scheduled to begin sometime after the election when the damage has already been done!!!   This is the new mission for the American people, if you’re a democrat or someone who believes in the Constitution, stands behind the middle class, fights for equality and likes to play fair and honest and do what’s best for our country by rolling on with the “American Jobs Act” and actually doing something to move this economy that has been blocked and held hostage by the wimpy, know nothing-do nothing Congress than make sure you find out now what the laws are in your state so you can plan ahead and get to the polls to vote for Barack Obama.  If you’re a rightwing nut job radical extremist, who would rather see the richest get richer and the working class flat-line like it has been for the last 30 years, then get out there and vote for whatever circus clown from your party gets the nomination.
