Bio
Once upon a time this writer was a reporter/photographer and columnist for a large weekly newspaper in New York City, worked at the Center for Publishing at N.Y.U., worked at Kirkus for one whirlwind semester and eventually was an editor at Scholastic. After two very eventful years on cable television in New York City, this writer was voted off the island. Today this writer is a student and soon-to-be published author (all fingers and toes are crossed) living in reduced circumstances. She is ever hopeful and even though her stomach may rumble from time to time, she is usually somewhat reasonably well fed. Most importantly this writer is a recovering or former New Yorker, (recovering seems more apt), who is quite happily transplanted elsewhere. She blooms where she is planted. ************************ You can contact me at diaryofahopefulstarvingstudent@ gmail.com

Isaiah is proving to be a champion snuggler.  He snuggles up next to Hope as she holds him in her arms.

They are seated in a quiet corner of the nursery in the ultra-comfortable upholstered rocking chair, and they glide together.

Isaiah vocalizes, and Hope repeats him.  She alternates by adding syllables to his sounds, and Isaiah responds.  They are gazing at one another and communicating effortlessly.

Isaiah's vocalizing is like music to Hope's ears.  With that realization Hope begins to hum.  So does Isaiah, as he smiles and laughs.

Seeing Isaiah's response to their music, Hope begins to sing.

"When destiny calls you
You must be strong
I may not be with you
But you've got to hold on
They'll see in time
I know
We'll show them together"

Hope pauses as she considers Isaiah and all that is ahead of him.  She looks right into his eyes and feels the depth of her concern.

"You must be strong, Isaiah.  I will too.  We'll show them together," Hope says as she holds both of his tiny hands in hers.

And with that Hope stands.
