Deborah Dolen's Kentucky Derby Predictions 2011
Growing up in Saratoga, NY, I have a great fondness for horse racing. I plan to attend the traverse this year in August, 2011. Where the Traverse begins the Churchhill Downs' end with the Race for the Roses. Basically the last main race for "thoroughbred of the year."
Uncle Mo was my favorite and very much like Secretariat. Uncle Mo, photo above, was not feeling well for this race and I do hope he gets better. What is left are 19 horses and it is a toss up. The most important variable in this race will be the fact they are running on a dirt track and even more important, wet one. The most deciding factor seems to be which horses perform on dirt tracks at all, and what Jockeys are the best for this race. I think it will be a mix of those two for win, place and show.
