Rape and Incest
This doesn't have anything to do with the ongoing argument. What it does have to do is the phrase, "rape and incest," when they mean "rape or incest."
With the current phrasing a rapist must rape a close relative in order for the fetus to be aborted or not aborted.
How to serve Man?
I don't think there is one of us who hasn't wonder4ed what human flesh must taste like. I realize there are social conventions to deal with and maybe even the law because these people would have to be “harvested,” as packing plants now say instead of butchered or slauaghtered.… Read full post »
Metro L.A. has more people than Metro New York
Anybody who has spent time in Los Angeles and New York knows something, Metropolitan Los Angeles is bigger in size and has more people. This will come as shock to whomever comes up with the ratings but Hartford is not a suburb of New York and neither is Newark.… Read full post »
Esurance Sucks
I have had eSurance for a year and a half and was charged for paying monthly, my premiums were increased and they billed your policy more than once from your bank. They cannot be trusted. Read full post »
Our Lady of Columbia
The toughest part of this column is spelling Medjugorje where the Holy Mary revealed herself to three children. Working at a Jesuit college, one hears the rumors about such things. There are reported but not yet accepted by the church. The last official visit was at Fatima in… Read full post »
God's Speed, Neil Armstrong
The recent death of Neil Armstrong illuminates a number of points, We won the race to the moon even though there was no other country attempting to go. Armstrong never made a dollar from his fame and his moral character was above reproach. The Apollo missions were much… Read full post »
Steve Jobs was a Dick
He had body odor. He parked in Handicapped Spaces because he could pay the fine. If not for a cash infusion from Bill Gates and Microsoft, Apple would have gone under.
He wouldn't make a wart on Gate's ass as a programmer.
He was good at hype.… Read full post »
After the Shootings what she be done with the Century 16
How about re-opening it? First, the people of Metro Denver do not own the theaters, something that seems to slip the minds of the crypto facists of the Nanny State. Columbine is open, Virginia Tech is open. Should we close everything that has housed killing? As Euripides noted… Read full post »
Freedon from Death
We in this country do a lot of talking about freedom. We have ten amendments to the Constitution which are called the “Bill of Rights” which delineate basic freedom. We have freedom of speech, the freedom to gather, the freedom to worship as we like but there is one… Read full post »
The Olympics
Well, the Olympics are over and I won't be watching a swim meet for four years, a gymnastic meet for the same and ditto for every Olympic event except tennis and basketball.
The Olympic sports it occurred to me are things that appear on ESPN at two in the morning.… Read full post »
Denier
Saturday night while eating a vegetable laden pizza at a
fluorescent light
pizzeria in the Tabor Center, I was called a
“denier.” This was for the sin of doubting global
warming and I do have serious doubts. I have noticed that
liberals have come up with names for… Read full post »
Slash Taxes and Drill Baby, Drill
The National Debt isn't as bad as it looks nor is it dangerous. 5.1 trillion of the debt is owed to the Federal Reserve Board. Since half the Fed is owned by the Federal government, the debt is statutory. We pay the interest on it. We have… Read full post »
The Supreme Court Will not uphold Gay Marriage
Obama may retain his Presidential Office but I imagine that he is going to lose the popular vote. The main reason is the lackluster performance of the economy however there are others and an example is his recent conversion to support Gay marriage where as before he supported civil unions.… Read full post »
Why is there Anything?
Last night I watched the Charlie Rose Show which I intend to do again when I am finished with this post. There was a very serious middle aged man who has written a book entitled Why is there Anything? I was taught in philosophy 101 that moving from why I exist… Read full post »
Up Against the Wall You Mother Physicist
There certainly has been a lot of unabashed self congratulations among physicists following the announcement of the Higgs-Boson particle which since the nineties subsumed string theory as the leading possible proto hydrogen particle. String theory was proceeded by Quarks (remember them "left, r… Read full post »
NBC S__tty Coverage of the Olympics
Since 1992 in Barcelona the Olympics has been turned into a swim meet. Up until that year, American coverage was provided by ABC which was infinetly better than the inept and waterlogged National Backstroke Corporation.
Soon we will have Bob Costas on the air pool side wearing his r… Read full post »
Tuesday
Tuesday
I spent the whole morning at the corner store,
just smoking and joking with the kid next door,
talking about the day before,
when I bought a Tupperware nude,
at the You See Em' Museum,
funded by Hugh Hefner,
For the things he adored,
Then went to… Read full post »
Russia Killed JFK

The sun is setting on the assassination of JFK. The whole mess of conflicting evidence , the grassy knoll, the magic bullet, the alcoholic District of Attorney for New Orleans, Jim Garrison and myriad others distract us from something obvious we all know now but didn't know then

I decided to Google "Green House" gases on Wiki and was stunned to find clouds as a green house gas.
First, clouds aren't a gas, they are a vapor. Second of all, they usually cool the earth and not warm it. Studies following 9/11 showed that the lack of contrails with… Read full post »
Suspend Federal Gas Tax
A stimulus that is almost certain to work would be for the Federal Government to have a "tax holiday" on fuel for one year beginning January 1st, 2012 and ending December 31st of the same year. In return, bonds would be repayed beginning in 2020 with an additional ten cent tax… Read full post »
