I'm sitting
the sun just peeking
over the neighbors fence
waiting for words

In the silence
I hear Lao Tzu
"He who knows
does not speak."

And of course
what inevitably follows:
"He who speaks
does not know."

If he's right
my every word
is a declaration
of my ignorance

It's enough
to shut anybody up
