I’ve been thinking about Republican complaints over the length of the health care bill. All those words! 1000 pages and no damned pictures.
I thought if I looked hard enough, I'd find a more efficient example of law making, and I did. Republican sponsored Public Law 107-243 of 2002, authorizing expenditure $3 trillion, 5000 American lives and tens thousands of other deaths for the Iraq War – all in SIX PAGES! Wow!
That's efficiency – those guys really know how to keep the trains running on time (that is, if they believed in public transit, they would). We gotta work on this brevity thing - right after we pass health care reform.
