Pleas

Rate: 26 Flag

Even if you stand in my way
I really cannot stay.
You're much too serious
Feelings become mysterious.

Some souls need to be separate from the crowd
Just to breath and to sing songs out loud.
No need to always hurry
Plagued by endless worry.

Perhaps it is a difference in ages
Immersed in diverse personal stages.
When there are such pleas to attach
It really isn't a worthy match.

Catherine.. If I read this poem correctly it sounds like someone has been given his marching papers.
Hoep you are okay and always a delight to see you write prose.

This is pointed and speaks to waves of subterannean feeling. r.
Standing with you C. I know this well, but could never have said it so well. Never.
There are those who believe the repetition with increasing loudness will get a point of view across. Or that obstinance in the face of refusal is what it takes to succeed. Others call that harassment and stalking. Good luck unsticking this one from your shoe.
You say it so well, a wish that everything is okay with you.
This is a departure... I seem to know a lot of people in my life who sound like this.
This was really well said. I wish you well. R
This is beautiful, Catherine. Wish you well.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose"

But both seasons and time pass. Just keep the best of 'we' and then go on to be 'you'.

Rated for everything that has a beginning has an end.
best wishes, and best of luck, though I think you'll make the right decisions regardless of luck or the lack of it.
Yep. Had to say something like that a few times myself. Of course, you said it better.
Beautiful poetry, Catherine, though I know nothing of your situation I shall join the chorus in wishing you the best.
It's always a surprise when you change styles, Catherine. This is very cool!
You surprised me with something so different and unexpected. I echo Bonnie's comment.~r
I really like this, and the photo you put at the end really works. R.
Sounds like a confession - and looks like a lovely road to walk alone or with a partner.
An enigma. Different and beautiful. Hope your journey is fruitful. R
Catherine...how lovely to see poetry from you...you are in my thoughts...this is so clear and beautiful...xox
Your lovely poem reflects my observation that it is all but impossible to get two people in the same place at the same time -- save for a few fleeting moments of passion -- and even then one or the other or both usually wander
Catherine, you are so eloquent. Good luck.-R-
I find this....... disturbing......?
may YOUR road lead you to a happy place
What they all said. Beautiful poem.
