When ever we run out of words

When every mistake spins like a cyclone in our heads

It was always something

One thing or another one after the other

Always gets blurry after time

Time after time

The conversation becomes an ad lib script

And your voice turns to ice

But it is okay

Many times that voice warmed me on the coldest nights of my life

I wish  I didn't love you as much as I do 

Only because it is so hard to watch dreams burn away

Into castles made of sand

And the memories only hurt because because they remind us of so much

It is true that it would be easier to forget but we never do

We never forget

Even though we can paint the past any way we like

I was never ashamed for being so ignorant

I could have guessed but how could I have known

How could I have been such a clown

When it all falls down

When frustration saturates all rationale

When the solutions escape possibility

Reality is a point of view

Even though I miss you

Even though I want everything to be okay

I'm looking at your picture

But I refuse to call

Been too much of a fool already
