Blittie The Weather Cat: Weekend Weather in SFB/MB Area

Rate: 5 Flag

weather1

Here is the satellite image showing the San Francisco Bay Area getting drenched in rain.  Currently, I can hear the rain gutters on the roof not being able to empty themselves fast enough.  Last Friday, I, Blittie, foolishly tried to go outside and take action shots of the rain.  Today, no way, Jose!  I am content to sit on top of the TV where the set is warming my bum area and the rain can't soak my fuzzy fur of blue power.

So, I am writing this because the big news is that there is a 71% chance that during the night we, unfortunate SF Bay Area/Monterey Bay Area residents, may get some of that snow that the east coast is complaining about.  It's supposed to be 36o F tonight.  I saw this on the news last night, so it must be true.  On Saturday, I should be able to get some great shots of it to share with you, should it happen.  You, my dear readers, all know that sometimes the weather people are wrong.

But, I am not blogging today to tell you about the weather.  I am blogging to tell you about the tea tags I have been reading.  There are these really great quotes on the tea tags and they make me happy.  Today, I want to share with you the quote by Piero Milani, who was born in 1964 and since there is no other year listed, he must still be alive.  You go, Piero!

Okay enough of that, here's the quote: "Why should I buy expensive art when I can make my own."  I agree whole-heartedly!  I thought that once.  I wanted a bird house, so I made one.  Okay, I still had to buy it unfinished, but I painted it myself.  Does that count?  I also added little birds and tiny terra cotta pots to it.  Here's the picture...

Here are the birds it was supposed to attract so I could get a free meal...

Yes, they did not fall for my scam.  Poo.  Talk about tough critics of one's art!

All pictures were taken my me, Blittie the Blue Kitty.  I have thoroughly bothered everyone with my shutterbuggy-ness for my readers' amusement.

So I have to go out in that mess today and walk 22 blocks. Can Blittie give me a ride::)
Rated with hugs
I wish I could. I can barely drive my own car (small, light Honda) in this mess. It is absolutely terrible! Thanks for visiting my post!
I'll be thinking about you.
Best Wishes,
Blittie
What a darling birdhouse, I think it counts because we get to enjoy it. I'm so happy you're warm on your TV, it's too cold for you to go out and munch birds. Stay warm and safe.
Messy here in New England, too. The splattering rain makes it feel colder than the snow it's washing away. Much prefer the fluffy white stuff. Spring wouldn't be too hard to take now, either!
Stay warm and dry - and leave those cute birdies alone! ;)
Thanks everyone for stopping by! I went out in that mess after I posted this and my car danced all over the road. It was terrible. No rain currently, but it's really cloudy and still slated to snow tonight. I've put my car in our carpark spot so it doesn't rust.
Best Wishes,
Blittie
It has been snowing on and off all day here, Blittie. So no comfort I can offer, except perhaps a compliment on Blittie's talents?

Thanks! Yeah, I know other places are getting a lot of snow. We just don't get any most years. It's very exciting to those of us out here. People are saying they are going to wake up early and go look at it! Those of you who live in areas that get regular snow must think we are all crazy.
Best Wishes,
Blittie
Shame on you Blittie. It's cats like you who keep me out on a limb all the time!

Been raining here in Tennessee too. My yard's a mudpit. My dog's a mud dog. Come on, sunshine!
