I know the citrus fruit drink challenge is over, but I saw the shape of the kiwis that were in the fruit bowl and I thought we could all get a good laugh at them.
Here is a close up of one of the kiwis. Yes, I am giggling.
So to make this blog legitimate, I have prepared a smootie demonstration. First, we start out with the fruit shown above: two bananas and two large kiwis. Cut the fruit up. Some of you may want to discard the kiwi skin. If I was going to eat the kiwi raw, I'd do the same, but for making smoothies, I just wash them and cut out the portion were the stem was.
Place the chopped up pieces in the blender and add water.
Now, set the blender to the CHOP setting. Blend until smooth.
Now, we need something to go along with kiwis and bananas... hmmm... Oh, I know! Peaches! Peaches are not in season right now so I'll have to get some out of the freezer.
Let's add some of them to the mix...
Set the blender to ICE CRUSH and blend until smooth.
Well, that's the recipe. Very easy. I wish I had seen those kiwis sooner, but we can still get a good laugh at their shape.
