Okay, I have to admit that the duck pond we are going to visit is not exactly a duck pond. It's kind of a very large puddle in a vacant lot that the city neglected to clean up after the heavy rains two years ago. The water has been collecting in it ever since.
Anyway, you, dear reader, did not open my blog to see me yap on and on. You wanted to see ducks, so here they are...

Lovely view here, wouldn't you agree? Who would ever guess that this is some old vacant lot near a park that the city has left because it doesn't want to clean it up.
But wait! I have more pictures because those ducks looked yummy to me and I had to watch them for a long time.

Ah, there they are. They can just jump into Cait's oven any moment and I'd be one happy kitty. Oooo... I am hungry now.
Peaceful, happy ducks. I'd be peaceful if they'd come a little closer so I could catch one. Well, I'll just have to settle for kibbles, poo. Yes, there is a lot of that on the sidewalk. Aren't you glad I didn't take a picture to show you. It's really yucky. Where are those city employees? Laid-off?! Well, hire them back! That duck poo is gross and someone could slip on it. Yuck!
Okay, never mind. That concludes our nature photos for today.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you liked the ducks. It turned out only to be a mirage after all.

Just green goo and nice slime for those ducks to eat.
But the pictures are cute.
I really wanted the picture of the heron that visits there, but he was taking the day off.
Thanks everyone!

Yes, I thought it was you the day I saw a heron at the pond. Don't worry though: those Canadian geese would rip my head off. They're pretty fiesty.
