- I've spent thirty years breeding, working, and enjoying Border Collies, GSD's and Doberman. My dogs are trained to find explosives, and to do film work. I can't think of a better way to have spent all those years.
I've also worked as a consultant to Handicap International, and travelled abroad for them, in order to choose the best company, and their training methods for mines and explosives search dogs.

Little words
Little Words
Typing little tiny words
That I can hardly see
So sad that this is really all
Remains of you and me
It’s been the only life I’ve known
For now more than a year
And all that’s left is more to come
A time I’ve come to fear

Sleep soft my lovely amber girl
Your time to run is passed
Just lay here quiet, your eyes on me
This time of pain wont last
Sleep well my gentle chocolate girl
Your head held close to me
Your time to run has reached it’s… Read full post »

Teacher
Teacher
I never gave a thought to life
I never wondered why
I took whatever came to mind
Then you taught me how to cry
I thought that I could have my way
The odd tear in my eye
But then you took my soul to keep
And taught me how… Read full post »
Goodbye Little Dog
LOST
10.3.2010 14 yrs old.
R.I.P.
Chasing toys I lost for you
So you could learn to find
A game you loved above all else
Just one thing on your mind
You learned a job you lived for
So you could work with me
I couldn’t miss your honest love
‘Twas… Read full post »
Boring Poems
Poems
Writing poems
Not in the mood?
A waste of good time
And really quite rude
Boring others
Who read them and say
How clever you are
Yet can’t get away
Talent less drivel
Takes hours to produce
Foisted on others
With no good excuse
Trapped by politeness
They read all… Read full post »

Touch
Touch
Don’t touch me
As I pass you by
Your words are empty
Be safe, let me go by
Tell me, traitors,
Do you ever stop and look?
Your lives are fetid
You’ve sickened all you took
What is a promise?
But the starting of a lie
Promises mean naught… Read full post »
Moving On
Moving On
“Move on” they say
Yet cannot feel my pain
“Move on” they say
And start to live again
“Move on” they say
Until I cannot bare
To hear the words
Of those who’ll never care
“Move on” they say
Let go your grief and guilt

Journey
Journey
My journey started long ago
Before the years had fled
A little girl, so much to learn
So much to fill her head
I learned the world through open eyes
I thought I knew it all
With arrogance I went my way
My pride, protective shawl
I little cared for… Read full post »
I Wish
I wish
I wish you wouldn’t shout at me
It pisses me right off
I wish you’d pick your rubbish up
When you’ve finished drink and scoff
Your arse sucks all the covers off
So lovingly laid out
I don’t know why you feel surprised
When I decide to shout.
Cars And Caravans
I went through a lot of cars while I worked at The Dog Section. This was due to the fact that I was living on a fairly tight income, which meant I couldn’t afford a new car. The fact that I knew sod all about cars also had a lot to… Read full post »
Love's Death
Love’s Death
For many weeks I waited
For one who knew the pain
For someone who I cared for once
How foolish once again
I waited patiently with hope
Alone behind the door
For someone who I thought might care
My hopes were dashed once more
I should have known, I… Read full post »
The Neatest Dog On The Block
While Breeze and Rummage, were struggling to populate the country and as many nice “paying homes” as possible I was working at the Old Vick Theatre with Schaefer my GSD. He was a bear of a dog, long coated, a beautiful sable with eyes like Halloween Lanterns. They were the mos… Read full post »
36 Ranelagh Road
Matt had left his wife Christine but we were effectively homeless, although we were looking as fast and as hard as possible for somewhere to live. We had to buy a house before the divorce proceedings started or we wouldn’t be able to get a mortgage. Any Mortgage Company would wait… Read full post »
Invisible
Invisible
Why can’t people see me?
I breathe, I walk, I cry
But when I try to speak to them
They just continue by
I’m just a cast off left behind
From far back happy scenes
But still I try to join the world
Unwanted, though, it seems
I talk but… Read full post »
Sadly, Goodbye Bog and Caralla
To Love A Dog
I have, at the moment, 11 dogs, all of which I love dearly, but I wouldn’t be human, if there wasn’t one, or two, closer to my heart, than the others.
The dog which owns, and will eventually break my heart, is a little, useless merle boy called Rhyda.

I will Not Cry
I Will Not Cry
I will not cry
I will not waste a single tear
For times once known and loved
Now filled with dark and fear
I will not cry
What needs I had now gone
Forever lost, once missed
Dead, where the sun once shone
I will not cry… Read full post »
