Bio
I've spent thirty years breeding, working, and enjoying Border Collies, GSD's and Doberman. My dogs are trained to find explosives, and to do film work. I can't think of a better way to have spent all those years. I've also worked as a consultant to Handicap International, and travelled abroad for them, in order to choose the best company, and their training methods for mines and explosives search dogs. Little Words

Typing little tiny words

That I can hardly see

So sad that this is really all

Remains of you and me

It’s been the only life I’ve known

For now more than a year

And all that’s left is more to come

A time I’ve come to fear

We’ve had the best of both our lives

But all things have to end

You’ve said we can’t live in the past,

So maybe we should end

I will not end my life this way

Eyes locked upon a phone

Our partnership has ended now

Three years I’ve lived alone.

So say goodbye and wish me well

Some times have been so good

But nothing lasts forever love

You’ve always understood

Reading your bio was interesting. Sad poem. I was with the 44th Scout Dog Platoon in Viet Nam, long ago in a galaxy far, far away.
I hear Adele's "someone like you" in my mind after reading this poem. You may not write here often but I like what I read...
I expect it seems like another world now, one that doesn't seem so long ago. I have sixteen dogs at the moment, two of which are pregnant.
All my poems are sad. I can't write them unless I'm emotional. I should be employed by a company that makes bereavment cards. As it is, I just keep on churning them out.
Thank you for your comments. They are very much appreciated
