It's 1:54 AM and snack is chocolate chip cookies.
Well, I've catalogued my progress today and I did OK, 399 words. I did some character analysis as well. I recorded two hours of black time during my day. I also had a four hour nap which has thrown off my sleeping schedule.
I took particular notice today that after my wife came home at 4:30 PM I did not write a single word. For nine hours I had 0% productivity on my writing. Well, if you take out the nap it's five hours.
Oh, how rude of me, I haven't introduced you to my wife yet. For the purposes of this blog I'll call her Kat, and she's a rocket scientist.... almost, she'll graduate in December. She's pretty awesome. She's very low stress and supportive of my writing, so long as it doesn't get in the way of her time with me and the chores. I can write before she gets home or after she goes to sleep, but while she's home and awake I realistically get nothing done.
I don't feel irritated by this, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to - but I do have a nagging feeling letting me know I'm not making any progress while I'm talking with her sometimes. However, I daily remind myself that she makes a much larger financial contribution to our relationship and that I owe her that time. I really feel lucky to have her in my life. If I wasn't so damn sexy I wouldn't have stood a chance. haha
Anyway, on another note: I have also noticed that writing fiction is at least one thousand times more difficult than writing non-fiction. That's probably because I've written a lot more non-fiction, but it's still a stone cold fact. Hopefully, I'll change gears soon and the process will get a little easier.
Good night/early morning and - Get Writing!

It is great that you get so many support from your wife, that's one of the most important things when chasing a dream. Following and believing it, and having people who believe in you!
As far as "writing non-fiction" goes... there's a quotation from Ursula K. LeGuin from her fifth book of Earthsea that really got me. I will look for it and send it to you shortly, probably on an email.
I wish you the best, as always!!

I hope my ramblings will be somewhat inspiring. Don't forget that I'm a fan of you too. You're so going to be doing the cover art for this book when I get it done.
