The Bush2Cheney coup/reign was/is a horror sci-fi movie come true. The reign of terrorUSt$ does not end just because the stench of death and destruction of corporatist, militarist campaigns wanes momentarily in the impetuous winds of imperialism.
Beginning at least with Truman, every Democrat U.S. President has been no more than an interim official that periodically serves to help re-charge the reactionary whole of the Right, the leftward ideology of that entity comfortably housing Democrats in sanctuaries within the "Capitalism, The One and Only" temple of conceit.
Suffering through most of ten years worth of capitalUSt$' messianic Bush2Cheney holocaust, the real face of terrorUSt$ rule, the entire world was over-ready for a new face on terrorUSt$, Inc. That the B2Cs had engineered ...more like: an aborted attempt to get their Rubik's Cube to look like some one than a color-blind or fully blinded source of intelligence had manipulated it... and delivered ---more like: dumped--- the results of catastrophic domestic and foreign policies and actions onto the backs of the never-quite-ready-to-aggressively-lead Democrats appears to not be a conscious Republican strategy. Instead, these scenes, in this "sharing-the-power" tragicomedy that is the republic, reveal built-in mechanisms of representative democracy in a corporatist republic that afford no quarters for ideological representation that is other than corporatist Capitalist, inherently militarUSt$.

andy johnson spoke for america when he explained the natives were better off dead than not living like 'real americans.'
nowadays, politicians have inherited 200 years of evil and can't be expected to say "we've been doing it wrong!"
but i do wish they would send along the aid promised to haiti, just this once. it's one thing to be evil, but being exposed as cheap, hypocritical, blowhards is not a good look.
To foster debate --rational, fact-centric argument about truth, reality, the cost of the maintenance of corporatUSt capitalist$ hegemony past, present and future-- about the fundamental principles, values and policies by which we live verses the fundamental principles and policies by which we should be wanting to try to live is a realm no commercial corporatist entity is likely to want to even appear to subsidize with corporate advertising revenues; yet, in the name of "public service", all U.S media should be fostering a climate of resolution, not guttural and whinny dissent of perpetual confrontation ala Cheney, McConnell, Boehner, Christie, Gingrich, Palin, Bolton, Bachmann and such.
Virtually everyone in America, indeed the world, experiences corporatist capitalism, its results, in his life, even if he doesn't have a name for it on the tip of his tongue. The ideologues, practitioners and defenders of corporatist capitalism should ---in the name of fairness, in the name of truth, in the name of justice, in the name of establishing and maintaining long-range social and global security--- avail themselves the opportunity to better explain and justify the idolatry of corporatist capitalist ideology in the United States.
Only by the mainstream media's fostering broadcasts of programs that include corporatist capitalist (Liberal to Conservative) Americans debating the Left in civil discourse, will Americans get a full-course meal for the national intellect and conscience to chew on. Should no such balanced civic discourse ensue, Americans' diet of political pabulum sweetened with the artificiality of religiose nationalism is certain to also be America’s last meal.
