Psalm 32
Psalm 32
Is there a prophet from your home town? Is it you?
Every one knows of
Moses.
He was the one, through God,
that parted the Red Sea.
But to his relatives
he was nothing but irritating.
They pushed him aside,
when he was trying to reconcile
two brothers in a quarrel.1
Forty years later,
Moses saw an angel
in the flame of a bush.
Then the Lord spoke to him
and claimed the very place
he was standing
as Holy Ground.
Jesus, when he was in his
home town of Nazareth,
read in the Synagogue
and all were impressed.
Until, one of them said,
"Isn't he Joseph's son?"
Suddenly, his wisdom
had no standing in their eyes.
So outraged by the authority
with which Jesus spoke,
they were ready to
hurl him off a cliff.2
Jesus said,
"Truly I tell you,
no prophet is accepted
in the prophet's home town."
He gave examples of Elijah
and Elisha as well.
Is there a prophet from
your home town?
Are you the one appointed
by God?
This in not a permission
slip to be self-righteous.
This is a question
about your calling.
This is a wake-up call to look around.
Hear! Receive!
Changes are taking place
all around you
and you are part of it!
Step up!
Step up to the next level!
For I know the Lord
will help his anointed!3
Are you the person
your parents raised?
Or are you something more?
Let go of the old and
step into the newness of possibilities.
For it is time to
transition in to our higher calling.
Arise! Come Forth!
Claim you heavenly inheritance!
1Acts 7: 23."When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his relatives, the Israelites. 24.When he saw one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian.25.He supposed that his kinsfolk would understand that God through him was rescuing them, but they did not understand.26.The next day he came to some of them as they were quarreling and tried to reconcile them, saying, "Men, you are brothers; why do you wrong each other?'27.But the man who was wronging his neighbor pushed Moses aside, saying, "Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?28.Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'
2Luke 4: 16.When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read,17.and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:18."The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free,19.to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."20.And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.21.Then he began to say to them, "Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."22.All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They said, "Is not this Joseph's son?"23.He said to them, "Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, "Doctor, cure yourself!' And you will say, "Do here also in your hometown the things that we have heard you did at Capernaum.' "24.And he said, "Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in the prophet's hometown.25.But the truth is, there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a severe famine over all the land;26yet Elijah was sent to none of them except to a widow at Zarephath in Sidon.27.There were also many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian."28.When they heard this, all in the synagogue were filled with rage.29.They got up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they might hurl him off the cliff.30.But he passed through the midst of them and went on his way.
3Psalm 20: 4.May he grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans.5.May we shout for joy over your victory, and in the name of our God set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.6.Now I know that the Lord will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand.

It is interesting to know that many prophets not attached to organized religions and many who were Catholic, in their later released non-censored bios, saw the reality of beliefs beyond Dogma, beliefs which made Dogma seem a control device. One initiated by those envious of Prophets, and meant to control those whose contact with God allowed them to see Dogma as the enemy of God.
Thanks for the words an the questions. Rated.
The main lesson we're going through as a whole on Earth, now, too, is to release fear (which is why it's swirling around everywhere). Once we no longer live in fear energy (control, even irritation), we are free to live all we live and do in Love! It's a practice, but we can do it!
Love to you, Anne!
In the same way we're told, Jesus' magical powers were first used to turn water into wine and his authority was established, at least for some, by his miraculous healing powers.
In this scientific age, we pride ourselves that we are not trapped in superstitious nonsense. Yet all around us, people clamor for signs; some claim to see signs of the Final Days -- just as some believed Jesus would return in their lifetime, some claim to speak in tongues as a sign of their exceptional gifts, some claim that earthly reward is a sign of heavenly blessing.
As for me, I renounce such superstitions and such love of signs, I renounce such things with the words of Jesus:
"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe."
This is the tongue in which and with which I speak, and I praise God for it and hope that some at least will understand it.
Actually the point of this psalm was that the family didn't acknowledge the authority. But if you read more of Moses it wasn't about signs it was about taking people out of bondage. It was about communing with God. He went to the mountain and he was glowing so much with the encounter with the presence of God he had to hide face so as not to startle people.
The point of my stuff is about the heart not about science or signs or superstitions. I do believe that some are called to be leaders, or seers. Not many but some. I believe this takes an opening of the heart and is not something that can be accessed by the intellect.
But yes, I value you input and your encouragement! And you have much to offer! Blessings!

Jesus promised the people around Him that He would return. I believe that Baha'u'llah, the Prophet and Founder of the Baha'i Faith, has already fulfilled that prophecy.
In fact, I believe that Baha'u'llah has fulfilled the prophecies of every religion. He is the Promised One of every religion. The return of Jesus Christ in the station of the Father. The reincarnation of the Lord Krishna, the Matreya Buddha, The Messiah coming in the Glory of God.
He has already founded the Kingdom of God. It is here now, thriving and ... it isn't just part of the turmoil in the world today, it is causing the turmoil in the world today. The Kingdom of God founded by Baha'u'llah is the universal and divine civilization promised in the Sacred Writings of every religion.
Unite all the people of every nation, race and religion into one universal and divine civilization. The human race is coming together. These civilizations are clashing because they are coming together. There is only one Almighty God, only one religion of God and only one human race.
Allah'u'Abha
earthling, Thank you for sharing you Baha 'i faith, it was interesting to learn about it. I particularly like and agree that we all need to be in unity and that there is One God.
