Bio
This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Now I'm focusing on going back to college in my 50's and discovering a new path to direct my art--which is art therapy. _________________________________________ All of the artwork I created unless otherwise noted. God is Loving the World through You and Me: A Valentine

Rate: 4 Flag
Psalm 30

angel

Mother Teresa
knew how to be
God's Hand Maiden.
She shared her love
where others feared to tread.

In the poverty
of those she fed
came God's love in them:
A family of 10 divides a bowl
of rice in half
to share with another family.

Let us love one another
Let us love one another.1

John the Baptist
came before Jesus
announcing His arrival.2
"Jesus is Coming!"
That was years ago.
People still say
"Jesus is Coming!"

I say,
HE IS ALREADY HERE!
He's been here since
LOVE saw fit
to leave a witness of
LOVE'S SELF
IN SPIRIT.3
A Divine Love Triangle
for us
so that we could always
be loved back.

God is loving the world through you and me.
Here's How:

Every time you encourage someone
When you give something you have
When you give someone your time
When you listen
or help
When you sacrifice your needs
for someone else
(Mothers and women you do this
constantly)

Bless all of you for the love you give!
You have what it takes!
Give yourself back
that love by opening
to the love that never stops!
You deserve it.
Give yourself praise
for agape love
the Love of God working through you.
The world needs it so badly.

And I for one am glad you are here.
May many blessings
come to you and your loved ones!
Peace be with you!
Amen

2 John 1: 5. But now, dear lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning, let us love one another

2Mark 1: 4.John the baptizer appeared in the wilderness, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.5.And people from the whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem were going out to him, and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.6.Now John was clothed with camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.7.He proclaimed, "The one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the thong of his sandals.8.I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
3Luke 17: 20.Once Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, "The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed;21.nor will they say, "Look, here it is!' or "There it is!' For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you."

John 14: 26.But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.27.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.28.You heard me say to you, "I am going away, and I am coming to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.

Anne, you're wonderful. and don't you say one word about my being flowery or whatever. I think you ARE. so live with it.

and happy Valentines Day to you. If there was ever a lover in this world, it is you.
This painting is magical, Anne--I really love its shimmer. Which I can see in the beauty of your psalm as well. I, for one, am glad you're here.
zyskandar jaimot: Yes, sir it does G-d is Love. And your welcome!
Monkey: Oh my goodness you brought tears to my eyes. And you know it takes a lover to know a lover.
Bless you!
Pilgrim: It's the kind words of these comments that keep me going! Thank you !
Be Blessed!
Anne--Yes, exactly, and thank you for Being Love for us to see! And, true, Loving ourselves is one of the greatest lessons before us...

Your painting here breathes Spirit-I caught my breath!! Reminds me of the drawings of Mother Meera in Germany!
"Give yourself praise
for agape love
the Love of God working through you.
The world needs it so badly"

Amen to that!
I also am glad you are here.
Julie: I had never heard of Mother Meera before. I looked her up briefly and I am moved and touched that you would say my paintings remind you of her. She was a very revered and beautiful woman spiritually and physically. I'm going to have to get "Bringing down the light" that includes her paintings. Thank you so much for your constant encouragement--I'm overcome!
JD Smith-Thank you for receiving and God Bless You!
Julie - God Bless You too!
Hi, Anne! Yes, the painting reminds me of hers because she paints a dear friend's spirit. Mother Meera's young still, and she visits cities in the US occasionally. I see Amma from India yearly when she comes to Boston, and it's a true gift to be in the presence of a living saint. The gifts that I receive in the blessings she gives are clear in my life immediately.

Mother Meera also brings that direct presence of God, or whatever we'd like to call it, to people who see her. Amma's style is all lively celebration--she gives big hugs with her blessings, and people dance and sing--and Mother Meera walks in and sits in absolute silence. Even as I make this focus primary in my life, when she walked into a church in Concord to give blessings, I still caught my breath and had the immediate thought, "This is a Holy person." Exactly what the word means.

Blessed, indeed.
Julie: I posted her photo here. I was looking at photos and this one just hit me like I had seen at least that smile in an apparition once. I thought it was an angel but maybe not.
She is an angel! Or Divinely Otherwordly, at least!
