Psalm 13

At Gethsemane you asked
Simon and Peter to sit with You;
"grieving even unto death".1
Three times they would not stay awake.
In the flesh, they witnessed the
miracles through YOU,
yet they denied You.
How can those, then,
who are scarred from heartache,
begin to know you're love?
Though my trials have been
few compared to many,
how can I begin to be a witness
to Your beauty?
If they that were
with you could not see in the
brightness of day,
how can they believe what they cannot see?
Pilate's wife, a woman of position
could not save You, the Savior, from the hands of men.2
It was the will of the Father for it not to be so.
Jesus said,
For this reason the Father loves me,
because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.
I have power to lay it down,
and I have power to take it up again.
I have received this command from my Father." 3
Oh Master of the Body,
I hand over the afflicted
to your arms, oh Lord.
You, who did not want the cup
destined to be yours, took it.
Master in sinless flesh
help us to
be one in body,
mind, heart and spirit with You.
So we the church as a whole
who are baptized into one body,3
may function in unison to the greater good!
If one suffers, we all suffer with it,
if one rejoices, we should all rejoice!
For, we must take up the weak
and make them strong.
In You, Father, the
Body of Christ will be healed!
From His fullness
we all may receive grace upon grace.5
Let us receive this Holiness
which is our gift to take!
For we surrender to our
inherited greatness in Him.
Benefiting not ourselves,
but the whole body
that can spread the good news!
For the wellness and purposes
of the whole,
we celebrate each, our own
contribution,
one as important as the next
in sanctifying the Most High!
Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ
Head of this body of Believers!
1Mark 14: 32.They went to a place called Gethsemane; and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray." 33.He took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be distressed and agitated. 34.And he said to them, "I am deeply grieved, even to death; remain here, and keep awake." 35.And going a little farther, he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36.He said, "Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want." 37. He came and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep awake one hour?
2Matthew 27:19.While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that innocent man, for today I have suffered a great deal because of a dream about him."
3 John 10:17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father."
4 1 Corinthians 12:12.For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13.For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body?Jews or Greeks, slaves or free?and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14.Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15.If the foot would say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16.And if the ear would say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17.If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18.But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19.If all were a single member, where would the body be?20. As it is, there are many members, yet one body. 21.The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you," nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." 22.On the contrary, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,23. and those members of the body that we think less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our less respectable members are treated with greater respect; 24.whereas our more respectable members do not need this. But God has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member
