This blog is about the journey from here to there. Early posts have devotional poetry and prose with scripture included. Many deal with the difficulty of having people in my life who are living with cancer and have died from cancer. Now I'm focusing on going back to college in my 50's and discovering a new path to direct my art--which is art therapy. _________________________________________ All of the artwork I created unless otherwise noted. If you'd like to buy one of my paintings or contact me to say oh, give me a million dollars to help me in my artistic endeavors : See my art and purchase prints here: orginals: merchandise: __________________________________________ The scriptures are usually taken from the New Revised Standard w/ apocrypha or the New King James.

Just say the Word and I shall be healed

Psalm 10

jesus heals

The planets seemed to be in alignment
and the animals and children
slumbered without incident;
so I could rest!

Praise to You Oh heavenly Father!
My body thanks you,
my mind thanks you,
my spirit thanks you,
For it is sleep that I needed
for ever so long!

Even You, Oh Lord,
rested on the seventh day
after creating all this!

Ease our tired bodies, God.
I pray these blessings
to all of my weary friends
and family.
I pray divine intervention
to those suffering
with sickness
or trouble!

Hear my plea Oh God!
For Your people near and
far need your help!
Give them the strength to ask
You Father!
Your children young and old
are weak with worry!
Come Father!
Come Son!
Come Holy Spirit!

Forgive us Father for we
know not what we do!
The media records the
blasphemes of the
claiming to love You.
They claim to know you oh God!
But you will say when they come
"I do not know you."4

Hear the quiet pleas of desperation
calling to you in the night,
my Lord my Savior!
I call you on their behalf--
make miracles in their site
Abba, Father!
For your children need comfort
and rest.
Surrender oh ye restless people and proclaim
"Just say the Word, Lord,
and I shall be healed"!

1Matthew 8: 8.The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant will be healed. 9.For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, "Go,' and he goes, and to another, "Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, "Do this,' and the slave does it." 10.When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, "Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. 11.I tell you, many will come from east and west and will eat with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12.while the heirs of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 13.And to the centurion Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.

2/3 Matthew 9:18.While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader of the synagogue came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." 19.And Jesus got up and followed him, with his disciples. 20.Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, 21.for she said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well." 22.Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well. 23.When Jesus came to the leader's house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, 24.he said, "Go away; for the girl is not dead but sleeping." And they laughed at him. 25.But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. 26.And the report of this spread throughout that district. 27.As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!" 28.When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." 29.Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you." 30.And their eyes were opened.

4 Luke 13:22.Jesus went through one town and village after another, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.23.Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few be saved?" He said to them,24."Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.25.When once the owner of the house has got up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, "Lord, open to us,' then in reply he will say to you, "I do not know where you come from.'
26.Then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'27.But he will say, "I do not know where you come from; go away from me, all you evildoers!'

Julieshanti: I feel like you're my personal cheerleader, thank you so much!
Professor, thank you for the encouragement and I truly mean it!
Well, that's easy, Anne, cuz you're adorable! The question may be how to cheerlead for someone who is, say, difficult? Hmm... (And yep, you got it right! I grew up in sports--and was never the competitor, always the Spirit Award winner, by nature! It's always more of the same!)
