I'm overwhelmed by all the essays I have to do and the oral presentation I have to do and the fact that my friend is acting like I'm a dermatologist and trying to get me to figure out what his rash is, so since I just summarized my current life, I'd like to talk about bacon because I like bacon and just had it for breakfast.
It's best when it's fried and crispy. I don't like my bacon soggy or flimsy. My dad tends to cook it in the microwave and it does get crispy, and it's not the same, but it's still bacon! (I know, if you haven't already heard of microwaving raw bacon, you probably find it a little disturbing. I did, too, but it works. I'm still alive so it does get cooked!)
I like it on meatloaf and cheeseburgers. Mmm. I always tell people that Buffalo Wild Wings needs to crumble it up on their nachos. Everyone loves bacon so everyone would be all for it. Beer & bacon. Wisconsin heaven.
I have to admit, though, the Oscar Meyer ready cooked bacon seems a little fightening. I mean... it's cooked... and it doesn't have to be refrigerated or anything regardless... Bacon isn't "good for you" in the first place but how many preservatives do they have to soak the bacon in so it has an unrefrigerated shelf life?! (So when I'm on my own, I probably won't get bacon very much, but when I'm on my own, I plan to eat healthier anyway so not an inconvienent loss, right?)
And now I'm hungry. Only not for bacon, but for ice cream. (Though they do make bacon ice cream, I think. And bacon doughnuts. It's craziness.)
